How to unlock SIM card of BB purchased with 2 yrs. contract?

Hi guys,

I plan to purchase BB Storm with 2 yrs contract. But I wonder whether I could let it unlock when I want to change the operator or travel abroad where I would prefer to use a local SIM card to avoid high roaming charges..

How much would it cost to me to unlock the SIM card, if it's possible?

If you've been a customer of Verizon Wireless for a year (it may even only be 6 mos), they will unlock the phone for you at no charge. Call customer service (800-922-0204).

BB Storm is a global phone. Verizon offers global plans to avoid high roaming charges. The BB is meant to be a travel phone, so check with Verizon. Also, wait and see when and if the Storm 2 is coming, if it's coming soon, just get that, as you'll have avoided all the problems the Storm 1 has.
