I have the Blackberry World Edition phone with SIM card and do quite a bit of traveling. I am currently in Trinidad. For the first part of the week, I had no problems. I was able to text and access the internet (and make calls). Now, I CANNOT text or browse the Internet (but I can still make calls).
Of course the verizon 800 number is inaccessible from here and I cannot find an international direct number to call to receive support. So 2 questions:
1) What number should I call to get Verizon when overseas?
2) Any ideas as to why I can make calls but cannot text or access Internet?

You should have received a Global Support Pack with your SIM card. Included in that pack is a Global Support Card with your ID#, and a wallet guide of Global support numbers.
1) the number for Trididad is 1-800-888-8000. You may need your ID#, though they can verify thru your phone #.
2) A similar thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago, although my calls were weak, and I lost email. Apparently, when we traveled to Southwestern France, the BB handed off to a non-preferred phone co. The CS rep was able to lead me thru the menus and guide me to select a more appropriate telco.
Good luck!
