Does anyone know if and when the Loopt application will be available for use on Verizon's blackberry's?

Loop is availble, but it is an extra 3.99 charge from Verizon Wireless PER MONTH to get it, no matter if you have the unlimited data plan or not.

 

Check out www.loopt.com to verify - Verizon Wireless is the only carrier that charges an extra monthly fee to use Loopt, irregardless if you have an unlimited data plan or not.

 

I know I won't be getting Loopt anytime soon - Verizon is expensive enough as it is!

You can install it using the http://loopt.com and then download the software from the AT&T Bold 9000, i have it installed on a storm and i was able to activate it.... im stuck at when after i log in, the program asks me to download the newest software...  o well... any advice?

 

(and the version is 3.1.4 on my Bold and 3.1.6 on the Storm... what gives?)

[upgraded the version on my Bold to 3.1.7 now to get the dl for the storm....]

Hello and welcome.   It doesn't appear that they're ready yet but reportedly they are in negotiations with verizon to establish service for the blackberries.   Check out the link below.   I hope this helps somewhat :smileyhappy:
