My storm deleted the Sms folder

An media error message popped up and then the phone shut down and when it turned back on the SMS folder was completely gone.  It's not hidden anywhere, it's just gone completely.  I send myself texts and had a friend send some to me and I am not getting them at all.  How can I fix this, I need help!!!!!!!!!!!

Best advice would be to call VZW Tech support.
