Hello,
I'm a total newbie to blackberrys, got it specifically so I could email and view/edit attachments.
Problem, I can't view or download any attachments. It keeps telling me "This attachment type cannot be viewed on your device".
I had no problem in setting up the email, as i am able to send and recieve. I followed the steps to activate the documents to go application as well, but I must have missed something somewhere.
Again, I am a complete newbie at this and only had a normal old cell phone prior to this, so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Well what type of file are you trying to view? Natively the Blackberry Tour will only support Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Also some image files and audio files. It can't natively view PDF files, you'll need to find a 3rd party app. But yeah, tell us what type of file exactly are you trying to view?

Yikes. Okay have you accepted the T&Cs yet for Docs 2 Go? Go into the applications folder and click on the icon for Word and just make sure you've set it up.
Also, is it from Word 2007 or Word 2003? I know 2007 is the new .docx format which the Blackberry may not yet support.

Yes, accepted the T&C and registered it at dataviz. It was a .doc extension, not a docx.

Hmm. Have you tried the usual battery pull a couple of times? Are you able to view any other type of attachments - excel, powerpoint?
Have you tried a different file? Try a completely different word file, see if that works.
I'll do some more research.
