No caller id on Curve 8530

I was having problems with my Curve 8530 so Verizon sent me a refurbished one as a replacement.  I got everything transferred to the new phone, but the caller id won't work for any incoming call, mobile or landlines, even if they're in my contacts list.  I only get "Unknown Caller".  Any ideas on how to fix?
