I am considering a Pearl Flip, and by reading this forum, I am seeing no problems arise with this phone.
Is it that good? Any suggestions?

If you are looking to experience a Blackberry, the Pearl flip offers a lot of features in a small phone. It does all the basic features all Blackberry's provide such as email, messaging, internet, etc. The editors over a Cnet.com gave the Verizon Wireless Pearl flip a good rating seen here http://reviews.cnet.com/smartphones/rim-blackberry-pearl-flip/4505-6452_7-33702570.html?tag=mncol;ls... . I have a Pearl 8130 (non-flip) only because I am a former Alltel customer who is not part of the VZW family and the flip was not available when I bought my phone. However, the two phones are the same except one is in a clamshell case. I have a friend who loves his Pearl flip. If this is your first Blackberry, you should love it.

With automomous GPS,world capable, qwerty keyboard, the fastest processor, most memory, and the fastest web browser of any BB why would someone not want the Tour?

I totally agree. The Tour is the Blackberry to own. I am planning to upgrade to the Tour very soon.

I've seen the flip, I personally don't like it asthetically and would say that it is for the BB minimalist. If you have to have a flip phone and it has to be a BB then I guess this would be the way to go, but the small keyboard/screen does not seem optimized for the intended purpose of a BB but more for the purpose of portability and a smaller footprint in your pocket or on your side. As far as performance I have not heard of any issues.

I purchased the Pearl Flip based on the fabulous reviews I read. I am sending it back & have purchased a Curve. The screen is too small to be of any use; the keys are challenging. I've not done a lot of texting but found it difficult to use because of the 2 letters & 1 number on most keys. Probably great for an experience texter, not for the occasional user.I also could not the the clocks on the outside & inside to work, despite many resets.
