Pearl to Curve Upgrade - Data Transfer

I just upgraded to the BB Curve 8530. Can I use my SIM card from the Pearl in the Curve to transfer data? I just got the Curve today & it is currently charging the battery.

BB does not store contacts on the Micro SD card. You can use BB Desktop Manager software for your PC/Mac to switch BB devices and transfer personal data like your contacts.

 

Or, you can take both phones to a store where they'll hook them up to a machine to transfer the data.

oops! I meant the microSD card to store contacts, etc...
