Pin backup assistant

I have a blackberry 9330 which have had no problems until now.  It started shutting down once in the evening.  Was able to restart.  I took it to a service center about the problem.  Idea was to reset to factory defaults.  Did so.  Before leaving the center contacts were updated.  After coming home, when I do backup assistant, it asks for pin.  Put in correct number.  Keeps asking for a pin.  Even tried to change it.  Have deleted and reloaded it three times.  Still will not sync due to pin.  Question is now what?

I have never been able to get BUA to work properly with the three BBs I've had over the years. My suggestion is to delete BUA and use BB Protect to back up data.

Answer to my own question.  After trying to figure out different ways to make things work, finally called customer service for Verizon.  We tried again to delete and reinstall the backup assistant.  We figured out it was trying to reinstall the same program that was still showing up on the phone.  In essence, it was not deleting the program.  Like I had said it was working when I left the store.  The only thing that was accomplished was that I had sync'd my backup with phone and then it wasn't working.  It gave me a thought.  Corrupt backup.  I wiped the phone and started over from scratch.  Reloaded all my apps through blackberry via the computer.  Reloaded backup assistant.  Now working with no problems.  Answer is that somehow the backup became corrupt and would not update until that backup was removed.  Anybody else having these problems might want to look at that.
