I know right now there's an issue with Microsoft live accounts due to some maintenance they're doing. So if you have an @live or @hotmail address you could be affected. Try logging into your email settings to revalidate your email address by re-entering your password, this should fix the issue if you have it.
Other than that I'm not aware of any Blackberry outage specifically. Try a battery pull and resending your Service Books, either from your email settings icon or this link: https://bis.na.blackberry.com/html?brand=vzw
I havent had my BlackBerry Long, But i found out i can get my GMail e-mails fine, but no @charter.net e-mails. Figured out that my Mac's Mail client was deleting them form the server as soon as it checked, and it checks every min... So disabled that, and now they are coming in fine on the balckberry...
If you have a @vzw.blackberry.com account... I have been getting them there fine, so no problems here? Maybe it is a specific area issue?
