Ever since doing the software update for my blackberry curve 8530, my battery life has gone down the drain. I used to get by for two days on a charge. I am barely making it through one day on a charge now. Anyone else having this issue and any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi,
I have noticed on a Blackberry, if your device is trying to lock into a strong 1XEV signal and is bouncing back and forth between 1X and 1XEV, it uses a lot of battery power. You may need to update your PRL by dialing *228 and option 2. Make sure you are in your home area and have a good signal that is 1XEV and not roaming. This may help.
