Hello bmwsyc,
The BlackBerry Curve 8530 does have Tethered Modem Support via a USB cable. If the Android powered Acer A500 Tablet has a USB port, you may be able to tether the device. For tethering and plan information, follow the link below:

Thank you,

The tablet I have is an Acer A500.
The operating system for the tablet is Android Honeycomb.
I want to connect the tablet to my BB Curve 8530.
The tablet does not use Windows or Mac.
The tablet (Acer A500) uses Wifi and Bluetooth.

Hi bmwsyc,
The Blackberry Curve is not Mobile Hotspot capable. Which means the Curve can not provide you a Wi-Fi connection, only a tethered connection via USB. Here is a list of our current Mobile Hotspot capable devices. Hopefully this information is helpful. Please let me know if you require further assistance.
