Hello manning21,
I can surely assist you with this error message. May I ask what software did you have before you started? Usually this message means that the OS has be reloaded onto the device. This can be done by using the desktop manager. There are several steps in the software update process. I have provided a Youtube video for you to follow if you need a visual.

Hello easyal159,
The Blackberry Desktop Manager can be obtained at the Blackberry web site linked here. This site includes software for PC and Mac users. There will be an option to run the .exe or save to disk so you will have the option of saving to flash drive. Please let me know if I can assist with any other concerns.
