Using The Verizon Blackberry Curve 8530 in Spain?

Through my employer I have a Verizon Blackberry Curve 8530. Next week I'll be off to Spain for 2 weeks and, naturally, want to maintain voice and data access. I've reviewed Verizon's site re: international voice/data services but came away extremely confused as to whether I can use my 8530 in Spain and, if so, how..

So, all I want to know is:

a) Can I used my Verizon Blackberry 8530 in Spain?
b) If so, what are the steps I need to follow to make this happen?
