VZAccess Manager cannot detect BB Tour 9630

Running XP on a Dell Laptop. Installed VZAM from website for Tour device.  VZAccess Managaer will not detect the device.  Tried the same excercise with a Toshiba laptop running Vista, and the VZAccess Manager installs and detects the Tour.

None of the 5 people I've dealt with at both the Verizon store and the Support Desk can resolve the problem.

Looking to see if anyone else has had this problem and might have a solution.
