Web browsing internatonally with Bold 9650

I currently have a Bold 9650, and with a Global Email plan while in the UK.
Data works perfectly fine, with the exception of the web browser, which just stalls/does not respond.
Do I need to change any settings in the phone to use the Vodafone UK proxy server or something?

That doesn't have to do with my problem. I have data in everything just fine, it's just for browsing the web, it usually stalls until I battery pull, then it works again a little, etc...
Could it have to do with APN settings?

I have provided some information below that may help.
Step 1 – Ensure you are getting a good signal and data connection. You can test a data connection by (sending an email, sending a PIN message, or browsing).
Step 2 – Clear the browsers temporary internet files (clear cache, clear cookies, etc.)
Step 3 – Sent a registration message (if a data signal is present)
-Press Menu
-Select Options
-Select Advanced options
-Select Host Routing Table
-Select Menu
-Select Register Now
Step 4 – Ensure the browser settings are set correctly
-Select browser
-Select menu
-Select options
-Select browser Configuration
-Ensure Browser is set to Internet Browser (unless it has to be Blackberry)
-Select the back arrow
-Select General Properties
-Default browser should also be Internet Browser
Step 5 – Send Service Books
-Press Menu
-Select Setup
-Select Email Settings
-Press Menu
-Select Service Books
-Select Send Service Books
Step 6 – Soft reset (instruction)
-Pull the battery while the phone is powered on.
-Leave the battery out for 2 minutes. ***The two minute time frame is important.
-Place the battery back in
