What is the difference between unlimited data usage and wireless broadband?

I just ordered a BlackBerry Curve and the plan I got comes with unlimited data usage. I am assuming that is internet? On the features page, it asks me if I also want wireless broadband for an additional $15 a month. What is the difference? Will I be able to do things like facebook, twitter, and youtube if I just get unlimited data usage? I have internet on my phone now but can't go access those sites. I'm not sure if it's the phone or because I just have unlimited data usage and not wireless broadband. Someone please help. I did "chat" with someone who works here and that was not helpful at all.

The unlimited Data usage either $44.99 or $29.99 is for data from the blackberry, i.e. facebook, twitter, youtube, email, calendar, syncing, etc.
The $15 wireless broadband is if you wanted to hook up your Blackberry with a cable to your laptop and use it as a wireless modem to connect your laptop to the internet.
