Was considering a BB, but VZW has dropped the Classic Camera model from their lineup. WHY?? If anything drop the non-Camera model.
Looks to me, from NEVER having BlackBerrys on display in stores, and now dropping the Classic Camera model, looks like the rest of the BB line's days are numbered at VZW.
I went to a local corporate store and asked about a Priv. The sales person looked at me funny, then said "Yeah, we have one. in back in it's box."
I am like, what the hay? A premium-class phone and you don't even have it on display?
WHY does BB even do business with VZW anymore? They DON"T want to sell BB's evidently, so BB should just cut ties with them and quit loosing money on a dying technology.
There is a need for phones without cameras. Many customers work for companies that don't allow cameras at work.
AS far as I know, Verizon is the only carrier with non camera phones.
THe classic is an older phone, it's also the only smartphone without a camera, so Verizon is choosing to keep it.
if you want the camera version, you may find it on eBay.
Guess it's a moot point now as BB has stopped making the Classic. The Priv holds not interest for me. Will just have to look at going to AT&T I guess.
Having a phone that meets your needs is definitely important jmthomas87 so I understand your concern. We definitely don't want to lose you.
