Will Vodafone Storm work with Verizon network?

A friend of mine recently bought an unlocked storm online because he thought he had to have one.  He found out it is too much phone and he doesn't want it.  I am thinking about buying it as I hate my smartphone, however I need to know if it will work on the Verizon network?  Does anyone know?

Good Day govandals; Unlocking a phone allows you to take it to another carrier that is running on the same type of Network.  Vodafone operates on the GSM network and uses SIM cards.  Verizon uses CDMA network and does not use SIM card enabled phones.  The logical result; an unlocked Blackberry Storm from Vodafone MAY not work on the Verizon Wireless network.  HOWEVER because this is a friend of yours I would ask him to meet you at the closest Verizon Wireless store and see what they say.  I spent some time looking at the specs from the Blackberry Storm site and it seems that the phone is dual network or “global” but without calling Blackberry it is not 100% clear if they all come with this or if it’s only on certain phones and would be marked as “global”. Please be cautious either way when looking into using an unlocked phone, due to some proprietary settings installed on locked handsets you might not have a fully functioning phone.   The best way to tell for sure is to come into a local Verizon Wireless Store and ask to speak to a Tech who will investigate the phone and tell you for sure...  Best of Luck~
