Would like to know too.  The 9800 is a great combination of large screen with a physical keyboard, bridging the Bold and the Storm 2.... Nobody at VZW can answer the question.

I don't think anyone really knows except RIM and the developers.  Folks in the stores and CS are way down the food chain and are usually never told much about upcoming devices until they are about to go online.

We do not have any information ahead of time when new phone are being released. You can access the website at www.verizonwireless.com go to the contact us link at the top of the page to sign up for e-mail notification to have alerts sent to you about upcoming devices.

You can bet that someone has information ahead of time. These releases just don't happen by themselves. They are the tail end of a long development & planning process. The email notification only alerts you at the time of release.
