download limit on Curve Blackberry

I have had my 8330 for a couple of days.....tried to open an attachment approx 4223kbs....and got a message stating this exceeded the 2.9MB limit for downloads. I also have a 2GB memory card installed. Is there a limit on e-mail attachment downloads or do I just need to make an adjustment.....any help would be greatly appreciated......Frank

yeah a 2.7mb limit is placed on DL's by RIM not Verizon. I hit the cap all the time and it sucks.
