I was saving specific text messages & pictures...some I have been saving for over a year. Most of what I was saving is now gone. To the best of my knowledge, I did not do anything to the phone, nothing seemed different, etc. Most of my prior communication threads are just gone. Any ideas?
Did you pull the battery?
Are you on Blackberry Internet Service (BIS) or Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES)? If BIS, did you backup your messages and other personal information using Blackberry Desktop Manager? Because if you backed up the data, you would be able to restore your backup and messages. BB Desktop Mgr is the free software that comes with every VZW BB phone on the CD. Install it today and begin using it.
If BES, perhaps your personal info is backed up by your IT department? Check with them.
Sounds like the software somehow got corrupted.
