When you set up the email, you need to add the email account settings which can also be verified with RoadRunner.
Incoming Settings:
pop-server.area.rr.com
port: 110
Alternate settings:
pop-server.roadrunner.com
port: 110
Outgoing Settings:
smtp-server.area.rr.com
port: 587

I'm sure this poster has figured it out already. For anyone else having problems, you don't have to input the server settings on a BlackBerry. All you have to do is click on the Set Up icon from your BlackBerry home page, select e-mail, then type in your Road Runner address and password. If you have problems, select Send Service Books, and you should get a confirmation e-mail telling you to leave messages on the server.
If you're still having problems sending or receiving, make sure your BB has been registered. In the BB search bar, type Host Routing Table, or find it in Options, then hit the menu key to select Register Device.
