storm message notification problem

I just got my storm and the message notification continues to say I have 2 messages.  I have checked my email, text, call log and the general message app and none of them have open messages.  Any thoughts?

I had this same problem after registering my email account on my storm...I apparently had 2 messages that were hiding, both from verizon.

All I had to do to find them was to go into my messages, hit the blackberry button, choose "search" and then where it says "show" change it to "unopened only" and then search again.

Open any emails or messages that show up and you should be good to go.

Hope this helps... it was such a relief to see that notification disappear!

Also, I find sometimes I am not scrolled all the way up so even when I open the general mail box icon I still don't see new msgs.  So when you're opening your mailbox icons make sure you scroll up to the top to make sure there's nothing there before u get frustrated.  My $.02 fwiw.
