are there any blackberries from verizon wireless where i dont have to have the 29.99 unlimited data plan?
i was thinking of buying a blackberry off a friend, but dont wanna be stuck to the "smartphone data"

Negative. All blackberries will require the data plan. Its considered a smart phone.
Correct. All Blackberrys require the data package. Sucks but once you have a crackberry or a smartphone, you won't go back. Trust me......Unfortunately, they know this and stick it to you.
You have to pay. Even if you could get around it, which you can't, you'd loose most of the features that make a BB worth it anyway.
