2 minor issues

Got the Storm 2 last week and absolutley love it. I just have a couple of minor issues.

1> The LED does nothing when I have a new message, SMS or call. I have the option set to normal, yet it does not flash; except when it reboots.

2> Third party downloads disappear. Let's say, for example I download Google Maps. The download will complete just fine. When I go into my downloads or applications folder to create a folder to move to my home screen, it is nowhere to be found.

Any help or suggestions would be great
