Last night, around 1:30 a.m. Eastern, I got 32 identical spam emails from "Root User". Wouldn't have been such a big deal if it hadn't sat like that all night and drained my battery down to like 35%. Anybody had that kind of thing happen before?
And secondly...anybody want Cialis? Evidently, you can get it at an onlin pharmacy for an 85% discount. Almost makes me miss the old Nigerian schemes. Almost.

Try unsubscribing from getting email notifications from this "root user" ....It could have been from a site that you have created an account for or have visited.

It hasn't done it since. It appeared to be around a time when the service was acting up, so...hopefully it was a one-time thing. It wasn't from anybody or anything I recognized.
I learned a long time ago to be very wary about "unsubscribing" to anything that you don't explicitely recognize. I repair a lot of computers (I'm working on one as we speak) where that has led to a whole onslought of spam and malware. And virii, in some cases.
