8530 - Wi-fi stops working and requires battery removal to reset DAILY

I recently purchased the Blackberry 8530. The wi-fi turns off on its own and when I try to turn it back on the message "Unable to turn wi-fi on" pops up. This can happen anywhere I go with wireless internet access, so I know it isn't specific to my router. One second it's on, the next it's off. The only way to fix it is to reset with battery removal. I have to do this at least once a day, many times it is several times a day. I am messing up the outer case from having to remove it so much. I have seen other forums with similar posts but can't find any solutions. Anyone know what the problem is or have suggestions? Thanks!
