Greetings all and thank you in advance for any advice you can offer.

 

I'm on my second 9650 in two weeks.  I've used the latest 6.0 and downgraded to the stable 5.0 os and still have the same problem.  Every day, usually when I'm texting or on twitter, I will lose my phone and text capabilities.  Email sometimes works and the internet may be really slow.  The only solution is a battery pull.  Not something I wish to do every day on a new phone.  I have full signal and the little blackberry network logo - all is there - but nothing works.

 

I've read maybe there is a thread limitation issue (and I have no idea what that is!) with the apps.  The only non-RIM app I have loaded is a QR scanner.

 

Can you help?

I see this issue you are having with your Bold would be frustrating, and I would like to assist.  I need a little more information as to what exactly you are experiencing.  For instance, when you are texting or using twitter, do you get any error messages when trying to send or receive texts or calls?  Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the QR Code Scanner application?  One last thing I would like to suggest is performing a Wipe Handheld of your Bold, just ensure you do a full backup of your device to your computer using the Blackberry Desktop Manager software to ensure you can restore all of your data.  This step could eliminate any possible application issues that could be causing this problem.

 

I am including "How To" steps for Blackberry Desktop Manager in this link.

 

Instructions for Wipe Handheld option in this link.
