Address Synch Problems with Blackberry 8530

I have had my Blackberry 8530 for one year.  I have not had any problems synching my Blackberry with my Outlook addresses until recently.  For the past month, I have received an error message stating that the address Synch up was not successful.  (I continue to be able to synch my calendar and tasks.)  And then last week, the synch up totally wiped out all 1400 contacts on my 8530.  I have tried a one-way synch from Outlook to the BB -- which likewise has failed.  I removed the 6.0 Desktop Manager and replaced it with Version 5.0.1 -- but continue to have the synch up problem -- with NO contacts on my phone.  Any suggestions or assistance would be appreciated.

call vzw tech support and ask to be transfered to blackberry tech support if they cant figure it out. RIM can help and you dont have to pay if you get xfrd from verizon.

RIM's Desktop Software 5.0.1, which you stated you are using, is not compatible with Outlook 2010. You must upgrade to RIM's 6.0 level of Desktop Software for Outlook 2010 compatibility. However, if you are using 64bit Outlook 2010, there presently is no version of the RIM software that is compatible...only the 32bit Outlook 2010 is currently compatible.

Hi,

Just an update to Oshea G's post, Blackberry has released an update for Blackberry Desktop Manager which now supports Outlook 2010 64 bit version.  It was released just today.  It can be downloaded at http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/desktop/desktop_pc.jsp

For MAC users, a version can be downloaded at http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/desktop/desktop_mac.jsp

Hope this helps.

Happy Holidays,
