Automatic copies every email

My Blackberry World Edition will automatically send me a copy of every email I send.  I use gmail as well as zona for my emails.  When I send an email from my pc or BB using gmail I get a copy of what I sent on my BB.  When I use my other email (zona) I do not get the copy.  So I have to conclude that it is a setting with gmail.  However, I CAN NOT figure it out.  I went into the Verizon store and they were unable to figure it out.  It is really annoying, eating up my battery and cluttering up my inbox.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I do not use Gmail or Zona, but the problem sounds like somehow you cc (carbon copy) yourself on Gmail when you send an email.  Do you use a web page interface for sending/receiving email from Gmail?  See if there is an option for cc in the filters on Gmail.  There has to be some kind of filter process that is causing you to get a copy of every email.

Thanks so much for the response.  I am showing that there are no filters set up on the account.  I can not find anywhere in the settings regarding cc's.  I have even opened my wife's gmail account (which does not have the same problem on her bb) next to mine and compared the settings.  Everything is the same.  Could it be a setup on the phone?  Could it be a bad phone? Very frustrating!

Hi,

Not the phone.  It is a problem with Gmail.  I was reading in their forums this is a problem a lot of people are having right now.  I'm sure they are aware of the problem and will have a fix soon.

 but never use it. It seems to have more problems all the time.

I just got the BB Flip and  was having the same issues with my gmail account.  I deleted the email off of my phone and then re added it.  So far I have not had any issues with copies =o)

I use gmail exclusively and have never had any issues on my curve or my tour.

Hi, all,

Since this post was originally post, I got a new Gmail account and started using Gmail as a secondary account.  It is very nice and works very well with the Blackberry.  I have the Tour and the features for Gmail are really cool.  I love how contacts and calendar events are wirelessly reconciled between my PC and my Tour.  I just wanted to update on this thread.
