For all of you out there that have an 8330 Curve: As you are aware, when you remove an application, the screen icon dims, and becomes INACTIVE and is more or less in the background, somewhere on your screen. If you wish to remove it (them) completely, move it to the bottom of the screen immediately following your ACTIVE icons.
Reboot your system and"wala", no more INACTIVE icons!
