I just downloaded the software bundle remotely from my BB this morning and now the screen calculating the "backing up your data" is stuck at 10% and has been for nearly three hours. I have attempted to take the battery out and sim card respectively and also plugged in to my Bb desktop top software to no avail. The bb desktop software is showing that the bb is not "connected" when it is plugged into the usb drive. Can you give me some help with this issue?

Hello rdp999999999,
I hope I got your name correctly! I had a difficult time counting all the nineโs in your username! The new blackberry OS 7 is my favorite blackberry operating system! With new features like enhanced graphics, full support for HTML 5 elements, and the full version of Documents to Go, OS 7 is clearly the BEST Blackberry OS yet! May I ask have you been able to successfully restore the functionality of your device? If not then please advise as to what is the status or error message that you are getting? As a rule of thumb it is not recommend doing a battery pull during backup as this may corrupt the files saved. Hopefully that is not the case as I look forward to your reply.
Thank youโฆ

Same issue for me. Currently I have nothing, just a phone in hand, black screen, no lights, etc. It hasn't done anything in 4 hours +, all the while started download over 9 hrs ago

I have precisely the same problem happening. I'm on the phone with VzW who just connected my to BB Support. When they heard my situation with the software update problem, they conveniently disconnected my call!

I too had this problem. It was a simple fix. Do not try to download it over the air. It takes too long, eats up data if not using wifi and just for some reason want's to time out. I ended up using the BB desktop software and everything worked fine. If you haven't resolved your issue yet, I recommend giving the desktop manager a try!

+1 to CAL926...download to a PC and install with desktop manager. If DM won't recognize you BB, uninstall DM, delete all drivers, reinstall and it should recognize your BB. Good Luck!
