I'm new to the blackberry World with a Curve I use for business. I'm considering buying one for personal use, as I've grown to love it as a phone. My question is this. Do you have to run a BB (data) plan, or can I just keep service with my family plan and unlimited text? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks. I appreciate the info. I love my verizon service, but don't trust the reps at my local stores as far as I could throw one of the original bag phones.
