I am getting the impression that downloads from the browser are buffered in memory only, and therefore you are limited to the size of the file you can save. I have changed my download folder to my media card, and small downloads actually do wind up on my card, but large downloads (larger than available memory) are seemingly not allowed. Is it really impossible to download large files or is it a restriction built into the browser or OS? Is there any solution?
Thanks,
JR
Hi, JR,
I believe that the Blackberry browser limits file size downloads to less than 3mb. There is a work around. Install Opera and you should be able to download larger files through it. I am not sure about Bolt or any of the other browsers. I do have Opera on my Tour and it allows larger files.
