I went thru this and I didn't listen to my wife who said I sounded muddy and so on. Then my daughter said she could barely hear me. So do what I did, and call CS from a different phone at 800-922-0204. Push as prompted to do you want tech support and then tell them or recording you need BB tech support. They had me back it up and re- install and still sounded muddy even to him, as he called my BB. He immediately authorized an exchange for a new phone. I was still within my 30 days then. It is the only way to do it and get a new phone, as I assume the phone is the primary reason you got this, not the emails and texting?? If you have had it longer than 30 days,They may foist a refurbished phone on you.
I replied to the thread yesterday and now my reply is gone. I have wondered why this forum did not get a lot of activity. Hmmmm censorship could be the reason.
I, too, have this problem very often...I'm already on my second Storm so replacing doesn't seem to help the cause in my case.
You return it after talking with CS and you are creating a paper trail to eventually, hopefully get a phone that works. This establishs that you are having problems back up your phone go to VZW Co. owned store and have them replace phone with the new OS already installed.
