i HAVE MY TORCH 2 WEEKS NOW. GREAT PHONE OVERALL. I'VE BEEN A STORM GUY AND THIS INTERFACE, FUNCTIONALITY AND SLEEKNESS MUCH NICER.
NOW THE BAD. I NEED HELP TO KNOW IF I'M IN THE MINORITY...
MY PHONE HAS THE WEIRDEST BUGS. DO OTHER EXPERIENCE THE SAME THING???
1) ONCE IN A WHILE, I WILL GET A PHONE CALL. IT'S DOESN'T ANSWER WHEN I CLICK. AND WORST, THE RING CONTINUES TO LOOP UNTIL I REMOVE BATTERY AND RESET
2) iF THE PHONE IS CHARGED WHILE ON A CALL, THE SPEAKER PHONE ALL OF A SUDDEN ACTIVATES AND DEACTIVATES TOTALLY ON ITS OWN
3) THE SAME AS #1, ONCE IN A WHILE WHEN I TRY TO HANG UP A CALL, THE MENU LISTS THE CALL AS DISCONNECTED, BUT THE PHONE FUNCTIONS FINE WITH EMAIL AND TEXT. HOWEVER, ONCE THIS HAPPENS, I CAN'T MAKE A PHONE CALL UNLESS I RESET PHONE BY REMOVING BATTERY.
is the phone defective, or is this common amongst the newer BB operating systems?

The phone should not function that way! I am sorry that you are having issues like this. I would be confused if that was happening to my phone. Have you done a master reset on your device? If not that would be the next step I would suggest. Follow these steps to do a master reset.
From the main screen, use trackpad to scroll down to Quick Menu bar
Scroll to All
Press trackpad to select and reveal more menu options
Scroll to Options, press Trackpad
Scroll to Security, press Trackpad
Scroll to Security Wipe, press Trackpad
Select from the following options to reset by selecting the check box
- Email, contacts, etc
- User Installed Applications
Type the word blackberry and select "wipe data", press Trackpad to continue.
I hope this helps. Thank you.
