BB freezes when used with Facebook App

For about 3 weeks for so now, my BB freezes up when I upload a photo to Facebook.  I get "uncaught exception" errors for messenger and even for browser.  I have to pull the battery 6 or 7 times a day at this point!!!!  I've been sent a replacement device, and still the same issue pops up as it is obviously a software bug.  Somebody fix this soon!!!!

This has been a common complaint about the Facebook app. Make sure you have the latest version of the app. If that doesn't work you could try using Facebook directly from the web. I'm not a Facebook user so hopefully someone with more expertise will jump on here.

I have provided some information below that may help.

Step 1 – Like SoccerRef had stated, make sure the version of Facebook is the latest version.

Step 2 – Try removing the application and adding it back.

Step 3 – Try clearing out the cache, temporary internet files.

Step 4 – Try one more last battery pull after the above steps were completed.

I too have been having the same problem, ever since upgrading to FB app v1.9 - take a pic, go to upload it and my BB9650 freezes on that pic. IF (and that is a big if) it lets me go back to my homescreen it will not allow me to access any of the apps on my home screen - I have to do a battery pull each time. I came here looking for answers but there don't seem to by any...I have deleted & reinstalled, cleared the cache and even done the "alt, LG LG" trick to clear the event log but stil happens...

MIne is doing the exact same thing ever since FB forced me to download the latest version a few weeks ago.  Went in to the store and they gave me a new phone, but its doing the same thing.   Not just when uploading pics, but also when just looking at notifications on FB.   I am doing a battery pull several times a day.  And like someone else said, I can turn the device off, then on again and get back to my homescreen, but then my homescreen is frozen.

This is ridiculous!!!   HELP!!!!!!

First push Applications on BB, then push add-on, Then scroll to Facebook,Research In Motion Limited and be sure you have Version 1.9.0.20

I had this problem and here are the settings that I set in my BB:

First open FB, then BB Menu, then scroll to options, then push Options within FB. Make sure to untik everything except :Clear Cache

Tik  Check Spelling(if you use this, I do)

       Tik Facebook Notifications

Tik Auto check for newest version of FB

Check for new feeds (your choice mine is set to every hour)

Facebook Places (do not Tik this)

Distance in miles.

Now push BB Menu again scroll to save and push it.

Now pull Battery and see if that fixes it.
