I've had my blackberry for a few months now and every so often my BBM acts up. It will send my message but never says it has been read and when people try and send me messages I don't get them. I've pulled my battery everytime and it doesn't help.

Have you checked to make sure that you have the updated version?  I had this problem in the past with 2 different Blackberrys, and once it was me needing to update the app, the other time I needed to clear some memory space so the program could run properly.  If you have the latest version, see if you can clear some memory space.
