When I went to Verizon and ordered my new phone, the sales gal installed and did my first backup with "backup Assistant". She told me my password was "1234" Everytime since then when ever I try to do the backup, it says that my password is wrong, when I click on the # to see my password, it shows 1234.
I have tried to changed it but it says I have the wrong original password!!!!!!!!
HELP!!

I just had this same problem. I overcame it by removing the Backup Assistant software from my BB (Storm 9530), rebooting when prompted, and then reinstalling it. On restart, I launched Backup Assistant and entered the password, and the only option I had was to "restore". In my case, this created a few duplicates, but the main thing is that it started to sync properly.
