I recently bought the storm and i was downloading some of the free of applications. I noticed weatherbug had a free application so I pressed to download it and all it says is "starting download". It has said this for the last 8 hours. I have tried shutting the phone off, taking out the battery to get the app to stop downloading and it won't stop. Does anyone know how to get the app to stop doing the "starting download?" Thankyou for your help.
Got the GPS turned on and no the weatherbug won't download, it still says, "starting download." I called the techs and they did everything they could over the phone and the app is stuck. Nothing to worry about from what they say. Thanks for all your help.
Nothing ever showed up for paypal until I tried to delete weather bug. But at the store today they told me to delete the blackberry app world, reboot my storm and it should take care of the problem. I told them I did that already and they were said okay, there must be a kink some where in the app. And since all the other apps downloaded fine and the storm is working right, they said there isn't anything to worry about. and the arrows in the right hand corner aren't showing like when someone calls or your downloading, so im guess im not downloading anything, the app is just stuck.
Under Option>Advanced Options>GPS>GPS Services--select Location ON instead of E911 Only...press the menu key and Save.
