Have a bb 8703e device that I've been receiving pix messages from people sending me photos. Tells me to log into vwpix place to access photos. No success in being able to generate an account or viewing any photos. What am I doing wrong?

Check that you have picture messaging (MMS) enabled on the phone (look in Options) and on your Verizon account (log into My Verizon or call customer service).
