Blackberry B1G1 - Will this work?

Hi everybody,

I am currently on a family plan.  My family member upgraded his phone 2 weeks ago to the LG dare, but now there is a B1G1 free blackberry opiton.  My family member and I want to take advantage of this promotion.  For us to do that, he will have to return his phone.  Right now there is a $35 restocking fee if he does this.  I am thinking about doing the following:

1.  Have my family member return his phone, I hear there is no restocking fee on straight returns?

2.  Wait 4 days

3.  Go with my family member to the verizon store and get B1G1 blackberrys

Would this work?  Only problem is I wonder if they will be continuing this promotion into September?

Hi,

I heard the BOGO promotion will go through until October.  To answer you other part of your question, here is Verizon Wireless' Return Policy in detail.  If your family member does get a Blackberry and another free one, the free device will have to be a new line added to the family plan.  I would think whoever the family plan owner is would have to be in the store when changes are made to the plan since they have to sign the customer plan agreement.

The fact that the Buy one get one free is going to last until october is great!!  Right now I am elgible for an upgrade, and so is my family member who is on my family plan.  Once he returns his new phone, I was told he has to wait a certain amount of days, and then he can purchase at the discounted price again.  The first black berry will be on my account, and the second blackberry will be on another line in the family plan.  I was told that this was okay to do, and actually had a friend do it as well.  

The big issue I have is that my family member has to return his phone (since he only purhcased it 2 weeks ago).  As soon as thats done, and we waited 4 days, we should be able to purchase the B1G1 without restocking fees?  

Am I wrong in any part of that?
