Why would you need to activate - the 9650 is a "Global" phone and is supposed to work anywhere - I am in Austria and cannot get wifi or phone text. Dialing the global contact number does not work either. If there are necessary steps to activate the phone for Global use Verizon is WOEFULLY inadequate in advising users of it. I will be replacing my Verizon service as soon as I return to the US. Awful customer service. Why should I have to come to a forum to find this info?
