Blackberry OS 5.0.0.1015 Clock

With the new upgrade, the clock no longer is displayed when charging the phone.  It worked until this upgrade.  Is there a workaround?

Hi,

The bedside mode error is a bug in the software OS.  For now, you would have to put in manually into bedside mode to display the clock, or you can downgrade to the previous OS.  Hopefully in the next software release, that bug will be fixed.  Sorry.

Go to crackberry.com forms, click on your model BB phone and search for the OS .1015 and see if anyone has posted the add on software link to add to your .1015 . I have the same problem with my Storm 1 .973 OS. I saw an add on but the fellow posted his as a S2 in the S1 forum. Someone posted a link to fix it. So I posted I needed a fix for the S1. Could all be the same add for the bedside mode? Doc pulling the bat. did not fix my bedside mode.

Hey,

I saw that post on Crackberry and I do not recommend installing it.  I would recommend either downgrading to the previous OS or waiting for another software release.

The Bedside Mode fix posted on CrackBerry works fine.  I did it on .983 and .1015.  It is very easy to do just follow their instructions.

 

As far as waiting for the next OS for the S2 I think we have seen the last one Doc.

Hey, Steve,

Thanks for letting us know that the file works.  You are probably right about the last of the OS updates for that model.  At least they did release a couple of updates for this one...not like the Storm1, which was the first device to get 5.0 and then it was forgotten.
