Blackberry OS 5.0 Problems

I received the 5.0 O.S update and although the gui is way cooler than 4.7, my applications no longer work the way they should.

  1. Pandora no longer plays via bluetooth connectivity.
  2. The send button is greyed out when composing new messages.
  3. The media player spontaneously starts on it's own.

Have you downloaded the new version of Pandora. I do not know if that solves the BT problem, but it may. I will have to try mine soon and see.

I did not realize Pandora had provided a fix for other 5.0 problems so I went ahead and downgraded to 4.7.  I figured the issue wasn't with Pandora, but with the bluetooth permissions.

As far as the issue with Pandora goes, the preferences are reset when the software in reinstalled.

I have expreienced issues with Bluetooth in regards to playback of media. I can reproduce under the following circumstances:

1. Pandora  must be running

2. Media player is running, but not currently playing anything.

3. Device must be connected to a Bluetooth device.

Now the interesting part:

With Pandora running, turn off or disconnect the Bluetooth device.  Pandora will pause and when the disconnect message appears on screen and then disappears, Media player will start playing.  (I have had this as an issue since 4.7.1. Hey VZW BB Guys: Any reason why this happens?)

I haven't had any issues with sending messages though.  Hope it helps.
