Blackberry Storm 2 Ver 5.0.0.713 Skype connecting....

I have a Blackberry Storm2 and software version 5.0.0.713. I installed skype application when running ver 4.xxx. Ever since I upgraded my phone to ver 5 skype will not connect. It shows skype is connecting.... It never connects to the server. I cannot even signout of skype. I have to pull the battery out and reinsert it. I have had the phone replaced once already and still the same issue. Any suggestions?
