Blackberry Storm, Could Someone please tell me what this display means?

When i'm making a call, put in number & push send, while call in progress, if you look at right side, below speaker icon & volume graph, below this, do you see a square box with 5 x's in it? It's fustrating me because i want to know what it means. If i remove battery & restart phone & repeat the process, it will be gone, but it eventually comes back! I go to the product demo & it won't show what i'm seeing on my storm, i wanted to know if anybody displays the same thing that i see!

Hi,

I am not sure, but perhaps that is an indicator of how many missed calls from that particular number your phone has on it.  Just a guess.

I'm running 4.7 OS. I can't find anybody that might have the same problem on my Storm. Is there a number to call for BlackBerry support or Email? It really bugs me when i see that display on my Storm & don't know what it means!

No, sorry I don't see what your seeing, I've done this twice calling my home phone number! I really wish I could help ya, but I'm having a problem myself, basically,  (JUST A THOUGHT-are you using GLOBAL NETWORK, or HOME NETWORK, ?? If your using Global maybe thats why its showing up?? Anyhow,

My problem, is and I'd like to know WHY BLACKBERRY DIDN"T INCLUDE THIS is, a "&"  sign, so far everytime I type in the contact list, I have to put in  so (AND) so... and not so & so... also , I don't at all understand their darn CALCULATOR either! But other than that love the phone!!!!!!!!!!

Hi,

Hello Kymber and welcome to the forums.  I've tried to recreate his problem on my Tour and can not do it.  In answer to your problem, are you looking for the ampersand symbol?  On my device I just have to press the symbol key and it is there.  I'm glad you are having fun with your new Blackberry.

Look near bottom left of keyboard to change to numerical, then right button from space bar and there is the & sign.
