My boyfriend just purchased the Blackberry tour because he is going to Ireland for 6 weeks. However we then realized that it was still 1.29 a min and expensive to text. However, he downloaded the skype app. When he goes to load it, it says he has to be in the U.S but if I recall from the commercial, its global? Why is this happening? If there a way we can make this phone work with Skype while in Ireland, or are we stuck to basic computer skype?
The Skype app can not be used while roaming(out of the US). Your boyfriend will not be able to use it in Ireland. I replied to your other post with ways to keep in touch.
