Hi,

You can use Blackberry Messenger to chat with anyone in the world for free.  The same applies to any other messenger app such as Google Talk, Yahoo! Messenger, AIM, or Windows Live Messenger.

If the person is thinking of text messaging outside the U.S. ,then you will be billed for international messaging.
